Jamilleth Alvarenga is the Executive of Promotion for the Diversity Organization. She is a first generation American, whose family is originally from Honduras. Currently, she lives in Dover, New Jersey and is an Engineering Science Major. She believes that smiling is a natural medicine, and that through doing something good for another person, it will make that person want to do something good for someone else, causing a ripple effect of kindness. She has a vision of a world someday where everybody is selfless, like the promised land that Martin Luther King spoke about. She believes that this is possible through the efforts that the Diversity Organization makes, to unify the entire human race as one.
"We got some difficult days ahead. But it really doesn't matter with me now, because I've been to the mountaintop…I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land”
Martin Luther King
